Minor celebrity alert action

Well the rest of March has been full of minor celebrity spotting... I have been pretty star struck, but don't worry I'm coping with it ok. First off was that Take That landed in Sydney (OK, so that would be a MAJOR celebrity alert, but I'm still classifying it as minor since they didn't land in Mel.)

Went to the Neighbours night in St Kilda and finally got to meet some of the cast, including Toadie (my fav), Paul Robinsons daughter and some other random character. AFter all the excitement Karl Kennedy's band came on and played Foo Fighters, Kaiser Chiefs and Susan, Susan who the **** is Susan... to the tune of Roy Chubby Brown - Alice, Alice!!! Very weird!!! I didn't get in till 3.30am that night and had to work the next day.... was the dodgiest hangover yet!

The Kaiser Chiefs also rocked St Kilda - I have never been to a gig where the lead singer has crowd surfed across to the bar, stood on the bar, downed a whiskey and coke, sang the chorus and then crowd surfed back to the stage. Wicked!!!!

Melbourne also hosts the Grand Prix in March and more celebs were spotted. Jules and I got our picture taken with winner of the Celebrity race - unfortunatley Daniel McPherson came in second and it was a random wild card entry who won, but we still got to hold the trophy and the oversized bottle of champers! Yum!

So after all that celebrity spotting, we attempted to become rocksingers ourselves. Julie's leaving night was in a karakoe booth in Chinatown, where we became Oasis, Proclaimers, Spice Girls... u name it we sang it! Luckily the booth was soundproof... enuf said!!!

March madness

It still seems wrong that its Autumn in March - still not used to the seasons being upside down!

March has been a pretty awesome month so far. Eventually got to go and see an AFL game as the season has started again. Went to see North Melbourne Kangaroos v Freemantle dockers and am now converted into a kangaroos fan purely based on the banter of the random Ozzie kangaroos supporters... man i felt like i was back in Celtic Park!

On your right you have the very scenic Brighton beach.... Its about 10k south of the city and a very nice cycle down!

This is proof that I'm brave MAZZA! So even tho I won't consider doing a sky dive like every single backpacker in Oz, I actually did go on the sling shot! To be honest it was a bit of an anticlimax - although the views of the city were amazing from that high in the air and upside down! Was over too quickly though...

Moving out of Collins street eventually, in search of a new place with a living room - new concept for me! We had an awesome leaving party as all flatmates were moving out and it was dam good fun, never seen so many people on one balcony at once, and I defo will miss the view of the city that I have! The highlight of the party was Japanese karaoke dance competitions with real Japanese flatmate number 4, and Jonathan tring to turn the party into a Take That dance off and hat party, by wearing every single hat in the house including my bike helmet! I loved the Take That dance off idea... he obviously didn't think I'd take the idea seriously!
