Springing into September

Totally didn't have time to feel even a little bit homesick, as so many visitors from Scotland rocked up in September! First of all Chloe came to stay for a week on her way home from a year in New Zealand. Was great catching up, and we chilled out probably a lot more than on the start of the trip! Had a great night at Emmas birthday drinks - a cocktail party at Bent St. The learnings from that night is that bananas make any random concoction of alcohol taste nice!

The day after Chloe leaves, Sanj and D arrive! Such good planning there! Was great catching up, we had some good nights touring round all the Elephant and Wheelbarrows in Victoria, debating who was Batman and who was robin, and doing yoga poses in posh Thai restaurants. All good craic! Rolls showed up for a few nights out, which was much better timed!

Managed to find time to fit in some work and the team flew up to Sydney. Stayed in the Shangri-la 5 star hotel with views of the harbour - check out the view from my room... Rags to riches stuff as this time last year, I was staying in the YHA! Productive year Maz! Really enjoyed the day, meeting the rest of the team and doing a random work treasure hunt where we had to get our pics taken with celebrity look-a-likes, find Wally, get thrown out of places, bring a new friend back to the pub, and come up with a "calmer-sutra" position. Hilarious!!!

The first of the festivals turned up in September with Parklife. Was such a great day, hot sunshine and good dance beats! But it did produce the best wheres wally aka craig picture as shown... Bring on Big Day Out!

Also managed to go and see Glasgow band 1990s, and give the guitarist my phone number, whilst he was onstage... brave Mazza or what! Dam it tho, he never called haha!

And the famous AFL Grand final finished off the month with Geelong taking on Port Adelaide resulting in the biggest humiliation in AFL final history. Game was far too one-sided but it was a great excuse to do a pub crawl from the MCG car park to all the great drinking hotspots in Richmond!
