Far too much Fun in Feb!!

Well its been a great month so far - lots of stuff going on. The month kicked off well with a trip to see Kasabian, at one of the Big Day Out side show gigs - how good! We all met at the Espy in St Kilda and watched the sunset with a few too many beers. They rocked St Kilda and a top night was had by all - but man did I suffer the next day in work!

Had a bit of a leaving night out for Fraser and Antz, who have headed back to Sydney. Fraser was disgusted to see the poor standard of Yellow Pages deliveries in the city... He always does the job properly you see.....

My birthday also falls in February, and it reallly was weird not being at home, plus being in the sunshine! Everyone around me was just fab though - Jules took me on a surprise road trip - planned the day so nicely. Top sista, even remembered to pack an esky with brekky!! We went to the Dandenongs first, its the mountain ranges about 40ks west of Melbourne with stunning views. However, as Julie's ozzie trademark song is "everywhere you go always take the weather with you" it rained!! Was nice tho, as its been so hot for weeks! Then we went to the Yarra Glen where there is about 60 winerys all within 30 k30 mins of ech other - heaven!!! We had lunch at one of the winerys after visiting a few of them so we are vino connesiours now!! Such a fab way to spend the day.

That night, Emma dragged me along to a Hibs night. I was sceptical at first, but it was really good meeting lots of Scozzies and dancing around to the Proclaimers! Lots of see you Jimmy Hats action going on, and the night finished with a trip to watch Scotland beat Wales in the first nation. Man did Murrayfield look cold!! Brrrrr..

St Kilda also has a festival in February and a group of us headed down to that. Free live music and entertainment ALL DAY! Superb. Saw ozzie rockers Airbourne who were awesome and then got persuaded to go on some dodgy fairground rides where I was nearly sick! The thing I loved the most though was that you were not allowed to drink on the street. The police came round to stop people, and were giving people the choice to either pour it out or skull their cans - so basically they were encouraging people to get hammered. Another reason to love Melbourne haha!!!!
